By DECLINING the message you are setting yourself up not to be called upon and not to be "kept in touch". It is better not to acknowledge than to Decline a message. LinkedIn views a Decline message in a negative manner. PLEASE DO NOT DECLINE messages if you want to continue to build your network and to continue to have recruiters reach out to you. It WILL NOT benefit you in networking.
