#1: If in Doubt, Tell the Truth

When you are working with a recruiter that is representing you to a client you must trust the relationship and be open and honest. If in doubt tell the truth.

When discussing  the details of your current compensation: Base, Bonus, Stock, RSU's, LTI's, vacation time off, and any other perks you currently receive be honest and know what you are willing to trade off and know what you must have before you begin the process of interviewing.

Discuss your relocation options. If you a renter or homeowner learn what the client is offering and before you interview discus with your family and or significant other if relocation is truly an option.

Be open and honest with your recruiter. They can not help you if you do not give them the accurate and detailed facts. Don't bring on surprises. Nobody benefits in the long run.
