#302: Develop a Winning Resume

A resume is designed with one purpose in mind, to generate enough interest in you to get you an interview. 95% of your competition will be eliminated on paper.

Style: The resume can be chronological, functional, or some variation of the two. The chronological approach (by dates) is preferred and generally used when there is a logical sequence of events to list and the historical perspective is most appropriate.

Format: Be consistent with font size, margins, no abbreviations, punctuation, bold, etc. Do not use a font smaller than 10 point or larger than 12 point.

Heading: Include your name, address, one phone number, and email address.
