THE ROLE:

Construction Project Coordinator | Innovative Life Sciences Construction Company | RETAINED

DESCRIPTION:

This retained search is being conducted on behalf of our innovative client who is a modular provider of cleanrooms, clean spaces, and cold storage solutions.

The Construction Project Coordinator provides administrative and logistical support to ensure construction projects run smoothly from planning through closeout. This role bridges communication between project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients, and helps maintain schedules, documentation, and compliance.

HIGHLIGHTS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating construction project activities

  • Maintain and update project schedules, calendars, and tracking systems

  • Organize and manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, RFIs, submittals, and change orders

  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items

  • Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to schedule deliveries and resolve issues

  • Track project costs, budgets, and billing information

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes

  • Support procurement of materials and equipment

  • Help prepare progress reports and assist in project closeout

  • Collaborate with the field team to support day-to-day site operations

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in construction or project administration

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with construction documents and processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Smartsheet)

  • Knowledge of permitting, inspections, and safety regulations is a plus
