Marketing Director | Innovative Therapeutics Company
This Marketing Director search is being conducted on behalf our medical device client that develops new age technologies to treat severe medical conditions. The methodology operates as both a preventative technique for at-risk patients and a treatment for patients with existing conditions. In this role Marketing will manage the execution of the commercialization plans to ensure alignment of the brand strategy.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND ROLE:
They have 2 offices; (1) Boston MA with 25 employees and (1) San Francisco office with 35 employees. Both locations are expected to double in size by year end.
Pre-IPO company with anticipation of going public in late 2018, early 2019.
One will report to the VP of Marketing and must have experience with strategic brand decisions, product improvement input, and commercial alliance management.
One must have a strong understanding of marketing principles including strategy development (brand planning, positioning, messaging), tactical execution, KPI development.
Location: This position will be located in the Boston office which offers easy commuting options.
HIGHLIGHTS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Co-leads the brand strategy for the launch product ensuring proper alignment with key stakeholders.
Identifies the need for market, insight generation and partners with the Market & Customer Insight Lead to execute and draw conclusions that drive brand strategy.
Provide subject matter expertise to ensure a successful launch and on-going market adoption.
Co-identifies KPIs that measure the effectiveness of brand strategies. Makes recommendations for changes.
Provide commercial input for product enhancements and life cycle management.
Assists with ROI analysis and/or commercial justification for product enhancements and life cycle improvements.
Represent the commercial organization in the working team to implement enhancements.
Manage the scope, sourcing, budget and vendor relationships or the patients services center.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
7-10 years branded marketing experience within a pharmaceutical/device company.
Experience managing launch brands.
Experience working in external collaborations or alliances.
Experience or strong aptitude in technology and digital space.
Strong project management skills, focused on attention to detail and accuracy.
Superb collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority.
Strategic and analytical mindset to understand market and product trends and impact on the brand.
Ability to travel (approximately 20% within the US).
