We have been retained to hire a Medical Affairs Director/Senior Director Neurology. This individual will be the "CEO" of a pre-launched product, building the Medical Affairs plans for the Neurology Phase III asset. One must have strong launch experience, a proven track record of success in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry and a solid background in Medical Affairs and Neurology. A well-organized individual with the ability to develop project strategies and execute project details and has strong working relationships with key thought leaders, medical communications and support of colleagues in internal departmental functions. This is a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the overall strategy for medical affairs within Neurology. This is an individual contributor role.
Actively collaborate on cross-functional projects amongst key stakeholders including Medical Affairs and other departments for planning and execution of medical affairs studies, conference planning, advisory boards, publication planning, field force training, and review of standard response letters, HEOR analysis, and marketing initiatives.
Facilitate interactions with thought leaders and our advocacy partner (professional and patient organizations) including scientific collaborations, speaker training, advisory boards, and regional/national/international conferences.
Identify, develop and maintain relationships with KOLs within the Neurology community.
Identify gaps in communication and literature and propose solutions.
Provide strategic support of publication planning and participate on publication team to provide medical and scientific oversight to publication and scientific presentations.
Participate in the ISR process and Grant review process for related projects.
Serve as scientific/clinical knowledge expert for company products and related therapeutic area(s) to internal stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
8 years of Medical Affairs experience preferably within Neurology/Movement Disorders.
One must have a minimum of a PhD or PharmD degree.
Product launch preparation and launch execution experience highly preferred.
Strong therapeutic area knowledge, development of strategic plans, publication planning, KOL development, experience with Phase IV research, cross-functional collaboration.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 30% domestic and internationally.
