This Market Access Director search is being conducted on behalf of a diagnostics company that has FDA approved innovative oncology diagnostics.
Although the role is remote based, one will be responsible for ensuring market adoption of the products and/or services with national, regional, and governmental payers. This includes developing a well-defined market access strategy. This will include the development of various dossiers to be used as the basis for either a national or local coverage determination which includes scientific reviews, health technology assessments, etc.
One key aspect of this role is to liaise with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MAC) on all matters related to determining coverage, coding, and pricing for molecular diagnostic tests and other molecular pathology services.

The position will report to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Location: This is a remote based position with up to 40% travel.
HIGHLIGHTS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for establishing the company’s reimbursement vision through a well-articulated reimbursement strategy that includes, but is not limited to, reimbursement, health economics, dossier development, and guidelines inclusion.
This will include the development of various dossiers to be used as the basis for either a national coverage determination (NCD) or local coverage determination (LCD) that includes scientific reviews, health technology assessments, etc.
Will lead the coverage determination and submission process that includes the negotiation, implementation, and pull-through from national, regional, and governmental payer contracts.
Determines national and regional payer strategies and tactics related to assigned payer targets and those of their direct management team.
Works with payers in the development and implementation of positive coverage policies and other value added programs designed to meet payer objectives.
Maintains contact with both national, regional, and governmental payers, assisting the commercial team representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing contracts with smaller regional payers.
