We have been retained by our biopharmaceutical client that has a Generics Division to identify a Sales Director. This individual must possess pharmaceutical generic sales experience, and must be a self-starter, quality-driven, detail-oriented person who can get things done to fill this management role. One will provide input into the development and management of both short and long term marketing strategies to drive sales and growth as well as manage key national accounts for the generics division for our client.
Our client is focused on the acquisition, development, and commercialization of quality generics addressing cancer and other unmet medical needs for the US and China market. They have a strong and growing product pipeline of commercially available and clinical stage drug candidates.

One must have demonstrated successful record of generic drug sales and marketing experience as well as sales account management experience.
One must have proven leadership experience and people management skills with the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
One will build a small team to lead efforts.

Location: This position is remotely based
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Assist in contracting with major customers.
Gather competitive intelligence on pricing and market activity (new product entrants, shortages, innovation, etc.).
Works closely with peers to execute commercial strategy.
Works with multiple partners to plan, develop, implement, and measure marketing/sales tactics.
Sets national and regional convention strategy and leads implementation of promotion at meetings and follow-up engagement.
Develops relationships with key stakeholders, industry thought leaders and advocacy organizations to enhance branding.
Reports to the Head of Commercial.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Must have a BS/MS or Ph.D. in a scientific field required.
Experience in the generic industry.
Prior sales and account management experience in the generics business.
Demonstrated contracting and generic drug sales experience.
Understanding relationships with major customers including wholesalers, retail chains and mail order pharmacies.
Superior knowledge of healthcare market access environment and critical issues.
